Takoradi is an important hub for the oil industry resulting in the city becoming headquarters of many major global players in the oil industry with stakes in Ghana’s oil fields resulting in high demand for strategically located properties. MAB Universal Oil and Gas Engineering Services limited have acquired a 10 acre plot of land along the main Takoradi-Tarkwa Highway. MAB Universal Oil and Gas Engineering Services limited plans to develop the land into a multi-purpose engineering workshop and office complex to serve the burgeoning oil industry.
The Property
The land on which the multi-purpose engineering workshop and office complex (the development) is intended is a Ten-acre plot of land off the Takoradi-Tarkwa Higway, in an industrial area characterized by both light and heavy industrial activities.
It is about 5 kilometers from the 2nd Infantry Battalion Military Barracks at Apramdu and about a couple of minutes drive from the Free Zone Enterprise Area. It is in a prime location 15 minutes from the Takoradi Airport and 20 minutes from the Takoradi Harbour with both key infrastructures accessible by first-class road from the property.
It is litigation-free and full title to the land has been acquired by MAB Universal Oil and Gas Engineering Services limited.
The Development
MAB Universal Oil and Gas Engineering Services limited plans to build a multi-storey office complex, a warehouse and a multi-purpose engineering workshop to offer onshore and offshore mechanical engineering support to the oil and gas industry. The workshop will have to capacity to offer the following services:
- Construction of storage tanks
- Piping – fabrication, installation and welding
- Structural steel fabrication, welding and erection
- Marine engineering ( steel piping fabrication and welding, overhauling of valves, sea-chest and gratings)
- Surface preparation and painting works
- Oil and gas supplies
